math blog aggregators

Over the last few days I've been seeing a lot of math blog aggregators.

First, was the Math Teachers at Play #40 blog carnival over at Math Mama Writes.

Second, was Mathblogging.org - "your one stop shop for mathematical blogs."

Third, was the Alltop math topic page - "the most topular stories."

Any other good aggregators out there?

  1. Alltop didn't look very useful to me. Did you find anything exciting through it?

I don't know of any other aggregators, but I already follow so many good blogs using Google Reader, I never think about how I might find more good content. (What I want to know is how to automatically share my Google Reader list.)

I think the best way to find good math content is to spend a few days exploring, and then follow all the blogs that look good to you. I follow about 200 mathy blogs. (It doesn't usually take that long to read it all. While I was on vacation, I checked in about every other day, and it took about half an hour.)

    3 ways to explore:
    * Look through the Math Teachers at Play archives (here).
    * Most of the blogs you already follow show a 'blogroll' of other bloggers they follow; check those out.
    * Use mathblogging.org to find blogs you might want to follow.
